Pakistan’s largest event organizer, Ecommerce Gateway, conducted the 5th ITCN ASIA 2005 at the Karachi Expo Centre in collaboration with national and international organizations. The exhibition was a grand show of IT products and services available in Pakistan, and is considered the biggest IT event in the country.

Wacom officially introduced and launched its products in the Pakistan IT market at ITCN Asia, amazing the crowds with the Cintiq 21 Interactive Pen Display. Consumer awareness of Wacom’s brand name exists in the Pakistan IT industry, but detailed knowledge of specific products as well as the range of products offered is not widespread.

Many other equipment suppliers participated in the exhibition and provided us with a unique opportunity to present the advantages of Wacom products to them. We expect to enter into several strategic alliances with different companies that will standardize and co-brand Wacom as part of their solutions.

Entrance to the exhibition required an invitation card ensuring that participants were serious industry players. Invitations were distributed to various prospects and interested individuals by all exhibitors. We sent out 500 invitations to prospective partners, most of whom visited the Wacom booth and were excited by the star attraction, the Cintiq 21.

A strong media presence at the exhibition meant that Wacom received wide public exposure as well, including a special segment about the Cintiq 21 on “Geo,” Pakistan’s largest TV channel.
