Wacom, the world’s leading manufacturer of pen tablets, interactive pen displays and digital interface solutions, has signed North Sydney strategic marketing company McCorkell & Associates (M&a) as its agency for Australia.

M&a will deliver marketing and communications services to Wacom, covering creative, production, events and public relations across the full Wacom product line.

“Wacom already dominates creative environments and our developing global strategy will penetrate new markets such as the music, healthcare and business industries. It was important for us to have an agency locally that could deliver on the brand vision,” said Mr. David Spencer, managing director of Wacom Australia. “We chose M&a to fill our marketing, creative and communications needs because they understand technology like no other and have a demonstrable track record of producing intelligent, effective campaigns for B2C and B2B alike.”

“New interface technologies other than mice and keyboards are emerging as preferred options for consumers and professionals alike. Wacom have their fingers on the pulse when it comes to global IT trends and developments of this nature are an absolute strength for the brand,” explains Scott McCorkell, principal of M&a. “The new products and ideas currently being explored are expanding on the Wacom brand in very exciting ways. We love what we do for technology brands and are pleased Wacom Australia has chosen M&a as its local agency.”

Wacom is a global organisation with an extensive list of international patents concerning the basics of pen-input tablet technology and related technologies. The company not only operates markets to end-users under its own brand, it also operates a business that provides Wacom technology in the form of components to manufacturers of a wide range of system equipment and products, from touch screen PC’s to systems equipment, entertainment devices and toys.
