We loved, laughed, were pleasantly surprised by many of the entries to our Big I Design Contest. Some of the products were very realistic (21st Century Sticky Note), some were extravagantly and luxuriously outrageous (john09's odorless fertilizer powder maker...).
However, we chose as our winners Compustick by Jayeshv (India) and Compair Bin by Nino Satria (Indonesia), Apollo by Yamylene Anne A. Yabes (Philippines) won 2nd place, and Patois by Tawan (Thailand) placed 3rd. Also we wanted to note a number of other great ideas and designs. Congratulations everyone!

Smiling babies, smiling grandmothers, smiling children, smiling parents, even smiling dogs! Here at the Wacom Community, we are very grateful for the opportunity to take a look at all of your happy faces. Unfortunately, we have only two awards to give away this time, but what beautiful photos they are! Congratulations! |

Comment from Ken:
First of all, I would like to thank my course-mate named Gan Aaron, for introducing me to the Wacom community and its competitions. Since being a part of the participating members, I managed to see lots of different people throughout the Asian region gathered and exchanged various ideas about their definition of art at the community. The community had been another great source for my inspiration, and I'm glad to know it from the people who care to share. Participating in such contests is also one of my moments, to test, measure and reflect myself in the process of self-discovery. What I like about participating in this contest is the fun to be in the competitive atmosphere, as it drives me to try expanding my limits, with the hopes of overcoming new challenges ahead regardless of your resources. I hope that the community will come out with live events throughout Asian region in the near future, as I'd like to meet artists alike in person and know them better, as well as it can spark new interest among the public that gather through such live events. ‘Breathe life to this world with art, and always believe in yourself' =) Thanks again for reading. |

| Congratulations to Lui and M@rlon Rose from the Philippines, and Brian Li all the way from Mauritius for winning the Grand Prize, the Inspirational Moment Award and the Barrel of Laughs Award in the 2nd Wacom Holiday Season Contest. The superb entries for this contest spanned a huge range of styles and choosing just a few to win was incredibly difficult. We'd like to thank all those who participated in the contest for your hard work and beautiful art! |

| "The Wacom Asia Pacific Lifestyle Contest" celebrates the diversity of people, cultures, and artistry found in the Asia Pacific region. Although artists are free to be creative, submissions to this contest should depict a scene that expresses the "Asia Pacific Lifestyle". What is this "Asia Pacific Lifestyle"? It is your lifestyle, the Everyday lifestyle that you lead as a resident of Asia Pacific. Whether you are a DJ in heart of Taipei spinning rhythms to an international crowd, diving among the vivid colors of the Great Barrier Reef, or even introducing your cultural heritage to tourists from abroad, Wacom wants you to share your lifestyle online to intrigue, inform and inspire your neighbors. |

| Showing our support for Malaysia's aspiring young artist, Wacom sponsored the Wacom Digital Art Competition 2006 at one of Malaysia's top design schools, The One Academy of Communication Design. Talented students from both the Illustration and Digital Animation courses submitted stunning digital masterpieces for a chance to win Wacom Intuos3 and Graphire4 pen tablets. Congratulations to all 6 winners, and we hope that this will be the start of many illustrious careers! |
